Martin U. Schuhmann, MD PhD focuses his clinical work on Pediatric Neurosurgery, Neurofibromatosis, and peripheral nerve pathologies, also in adult patients.

Since 2007 he acts a Head of Pediatric Neurosurgery at University Hospital of Tübingen. In addition, he directs the Adult Hydrocephalus Program, the Peripheral Nerve Surgery Program and serves as Speaker of the Centre of Neurofibromatosis. He is a member of the German Pediatric Neurosurgery Reference Panel of the German Society of Pediatric Oncology and Co-Chair of the Neurosurgery group within the SIOPe Brain Tumor Group.

He is active member of ISPN and ESPN. He has published and contributed to 190 JCR listed research articles.
