Prof. Samer K. Elbabaa is Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery and President of Orlando Health Children’s Neuroscience Institute at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida. He also serves as Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine and Florida State University (FSU) College of Medicine.

Dr. Elbabaa is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS) and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery (ABPNS). His expertise includes micro-neurosurgical treatment of pediatric brain tumors, skull base tumors, cerebrovascular malformations, spinal cord tumors, and fetal in-utero repair of open neural tube defects. His clinical interests also encompass neuro-endoscopic management of hydrocephalus and brain tumors, epilepsy surgery, cranio-cervical junction anomalies, and fetal in-utero neurosurgery.

He completed his neurological surgery residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic. He currently serves as Liaison Chair on the Executive Board of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgeons (ISPN) and as President-elect on the Executive Board of the International Federation of Neuroendoscopy (IFNE).
